show tyrion is like the living definition of a “mary sue” and now his scenes just make me cringe tbh

i don’t particularly like book tyrion as a person but as a character he’s definitely one of the most complex and grey characters in the series and i just don’t understand why anyone would whitewash him to such a ridiculous extent???

My family didn’t own slaves.” Or “I never raped anyone. These discussions about sexual violence are not about me.”

It is about them. The perpetrators could not do what they do without the amoral avoidance and silence of the bystanders. In a way, the violence is done for them—and so it is most definitely about them.”
